SMAN 15 Surabaya is a high school that is very concerned about the environment, including the ecosystem that’s in it. This school has many kinds of trees that can introduce students to the ecosystem. In this case, SMAN 15 not only has a variety of flora but there are also fauna. The fauna in this school are also diverse, one of them are birds.

At SMAN 15 there is a fairly large aviary. This cage is located south of the pendopo. This bird cage is divided into 12 bulkheads. Each bulkhead is filled with 2 to 3 birds. In the bulkhead, there are various types and colors of birds, some are brown and some are yellow. Inside the bulkhead, there’s also enough food for these birds.

The existence of these birds are very useful for students because it can introduce fauna and also the importance of preserving and take care of it. In addition, the presence of these birds also gives a sense of comfort while in the pendopo because the sounds of the birds singing can placate students' minds after classes. So students will feel closer to nature while in a pendopo
