For example the Automatic Parking Portal in SMAN 15 SURABAYA. The portal, which is planned to start operating in October, is built to improve the security system for a better management and to look fancier.

According to dean for student affairs, "The portal was built not only for safety purposes, but also to keep us updated with the latest trend." The mechanism itself is fairly easy. All students had been given an electronic student card beforehand which can be used for the payment. Students only need to attach the card to the bar sensor section. It doesn't take long, to wait for the bar to open by itself.

"The portal will stay open every morning until around 7am, then it will be closed and can only be opened with the student card. Later the student card development in addition to the parking portal, it can also be used as a payment in the cafetaria," said Mr. Zaenal Arifin.

To top up the student card balance, the school has prepared a top up machine in the school lobby. Students only need to insert their card, after that, the machine will process the card to check its authenticity. If the card works perfectly, a top up menu will appear and students can enter the balance that they want.

If the student card is lost, students can visit the student affairs room, then the dean will coordinate with the team who worked with the school for further information.
