Have you ever heard about the PASCH program? What do you know about that program? Or maybe this is your first time hearing about this program?

PASCH stands for the "Schools: Partners for the Future" initiative. It is a global network of some 1,800 schools that place a high value on German.

Mrs. Yeti Sofianah, one of the German teachers said " as a part of PASCH with Germany government since 2008, SMAN 15 Surabaya have many programs which related to German and Germany. For example Deutsch-intensivekurs (a course for learning German), Science Film Festival, Jugendkurs (Youth course), Praktikantin (intern) ,etc."

Every class in SMAN 15 Surabaya have a German lesson once a week. For students who are interested in learning more about German, they can join the Deutsch-intensivkurs.

Every year the students can take the A1 or A2 level test. And the 2 students who get the best score in the A2 level test, will get a chance to be a participant of a Jugendkurs in Germany.

Last year, we also held a Deutsche Parade (Germany festival) at the school yard. The festival is not only for the students of SMAN 15 Surabaya, but also the students from other schools too. There were performances from the students like German dances, songs, etc. Many people wear typical German clothes. The festival was really fun and I hope it will also be held in this year too.
