Scouting or The Scout Movement is a voluntary non-political educational movement for young people, open to all without distinction of gender, origin, race or creed, in accordance with the purpose, principles and method conceived by the Founder, Baden Powell.

Scouts is an international organisation, the scout movement has developed all around the world including Indonesia. In indonesia, scouting is a must. In SMAN 15 Surabaya, scout organisation called as Libels scout organized an event named PTA (Penerimaan Tamu Ambalan).

PTA was an activity as well as a ceremony in order to accept new students as part of the school or in scouts called as "ambalan" This activity held in SMAN 15 Surabaya and was carried out on 30-31 August 2019 ago with 401 participants.

This Friday-Saturday camp activities gave scouting materials, games, discipline in worship and performing arts. The award was also given to those who participated in the activities very well and in an orderly manner.

"From all of the activities, the most interesting thing was the traditional ceremony. First, they shaked hands with the council of ambalan. Second, they washed their face with the flower water. Third, they respected the leaders of ambalan. Last, they respected the nation flag. Every action has it's own meaning for example, the third and last action symbolizing purity and respect for the struggle of our heroes. This ceremony was carried out at dawn to add it's sacredness," said Farizky Fajriansyah as the leader of Libels Scout when being asked about the traditional ceremony.

Uniquely, scouts has its own ceremony in accepting new members and is a separate unit between boy and girl so that it has 2 leaders at the same time in the organizational structure. This extracurricular activity is held every Saturday at 8 a.m at the Sanggar Pramuka located on the 3rd floor at the corner of the east building.

"We're not just an organization, but we're a family and a home for those who have served ambalan" added him.
